Sitting in the basement of the venue in St.Gallen. Its in north east Switzerland. Kind of near Germany and Austria if you’re bothered. You’re probably not. Anyway it’s pretty. Set in a valley, it looks like Switzerland did in my head before we came to Switzerland. Which is still how Switzerland looks in my head because well, that’s what it looks like. All small streets and snow. BUT apparently they’re having a cold snap and it’s not normally cold. Yeah, us too, we thought it was all snow and ice here. Well no. Thats just more geographical and climate related ignorance. Its kind of like when one of the GF team went to Iceland was told it’s not usually cold, it’s actually very similar in climate to Ireland. Which is like calling Ireland ‘Sunland’ only to wait to people get there and then say…”what, you expected Sun? Oh no, its mainly just grey here, why on earth would you expect Sun? Oh, because we’re called SUNLAND? Nah, we just thought we’d f**k with you. Have you ever been to Chocolate Mountain? You should go there, oh or Lucozade Lake, it’s pretty nice this time of year. No f**king Lucozade though. Why’d you think that?”
ANYWAYS…Its very pretty here, the people are lovely, they’ve given us enough food to down a lion and enough booze to down a Leacock.
I was thinking of headlines for this blog and i was going to relate it to the kid we saw on the boat wearing knee-high high heel boots (she was no more than 4) or the fact that Stephen hit some dudes car with a snow ball today when he was trying to hit me (the guy really didnt seem to care), but then i remembered we’ve just announced a new Belfast Headline Show. Tickets go on sale on Friday from the usual outlets. It’s in the Mandela Hall and is +14.
I’d love to add some pictures but the last of the battery was wasted taking pictures of seagulls. I know, Seagulls. They’re quite a big bird on the grand scale of things though. If all the birds in the world were to decide to form two groups. good and evil. Seagulls would be the storm troppers of the evil. They’re not afraid of humans and they’re smarter than your average bird too. While Robin Red Breast is avoiding cats in your garden trying to find a frozen berry in december Seagulls are dandering about the seafront stealing your cornetto and cheesy chip. Bastards.
